What Having Our Own Mentors Means To Us:

While we pride ourselves on our high school leadership, we also understand that high schoolers can’t do it all. We importantly see the value in having our own mentors—adults who professionalize in academics, sports, organization, and child development. We see these various adults and partnerships as not just backing for our high school mentors, but extended resources for the younger students if and when they need them.

Although we recognize that many areas of childhood and adolescence are best supported by older kids, mental health sometimes requires professionals and third-party help—while it is important to maintain confidentiality and genuine connection, high mentors are advised to seek professional and parental help when necessary. We see this component as essential to building the ultimate local support network.
